MaryEllen and The MidLife Crisis was born out of the never-ending days of the Covid lockdown, when the members—each from different corners of life and music—found themselves itching to break free from the monotony. MaryEllen takes center stage with her powerhouse vocals and harmonica,  while Chuck and Bill bring energy and fire with their soulful riffs on guitar. Mike holds down the low end on bass, Beth adds color and texture on the keyboards, and John keeps the beat steady on drums.

Their sound is as diverse as the decades they’ve lived through—spanning the classics of the 60s and 70s, to southern rock, new wave, and even a nod to the 90s. Despite the wide range of influences, the common thread is the pure joy they find in playing together. Their music is a reminder that it’s never too late to start—and much better than therapy.
